Let's keep it 100. Dr. Umar Johnson, a man who has successfully raised hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars directly from the online community—the very community these so-called "struggle streamers" broadcast to—now wants to turn around and discredit them when they ask fair questions? The disrespect in that is just wild to me.
These "struggle streamers" are the new media. We are the ones on the front lines, having the raw, unfiltered conversations that mainstream media is too scared to touch. We give a platform to the people and we hold figures accountable, whether they like it or not. To try and belittle our hustle and our platforms because you don't like the questions being asked is a weak move. This isn't a "struggle"; it's the future of media, built from the ground up.
On this "The Rundown" segment, I'm giving my flowers to all the content creators out there building their own platforms. We have to discuss why it's so important to support independent voices and why attempts to silence or discredit them should never be accepted.
