For those who don't know, Hocus 45th, a real one from the streets, has put out a powerful call to action for ALL street organizations. He's challenging the older guys and the youngsters to "drop their flag"—to leave the gang life, the beefs, and the negativity behind and focus on building themselves, their families, and their communities. He's a man who has lived that life, speaking directly to his peers about peace and evolution. It's a powerful message that a lot of people are getting behind.
But, of course, you have people on the sidelines who see our culture as nothing but entertainment. Adam22 of No Jumper fame recently reacted to the challenge, and instead of showing respect for the message, he was laughing and mocking the very idea of it. He thinks it's funny and unrealistic that a street OG would even come up with a challenge to promote peace.
On this "No Filter" segment, I'm breaking down the massive disconnect. You have a real OG from the inside trying to save lives, and a media personality on the outside who profits from the chaos, laughing at the attempt. This is a clear example of who is really for the culture and who is just here to exploit it.
