Mother Khadijah Farrakhan Returns to Allah at 90 — A Pillar of Strength, Family & Faith 🙏🏾
The Nation of Islam and our broader culture just lost a true First Lady. Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, beloved wife of Minister Louis Farrakhan for 72 years, has passed away at the age of 90. The announcement came with deep sadness but profound gratitude to Allah, as shared by the Nation.
Born in 1935, Khadijah married the Minister in 1953 and embraced Islam in 1955. Through decades of trials, triumphs, and building, she stood as a stabilizing force — raising nine children while supporting one of the most influential voices in Black liberation and self-determination. She wasn’t just by his side; she was a leader in her own right.
After Minister Farrakhan organized the historic 1995 Million Man March, Mother Khadijah stepped up at the 1997 Million Woman March in Philadelphia. Her words still echo: “A nation can rise no higher than its women. We focus on women but cannot lose sight that we must rise as a family — men, women and children.”
That’s real talk. Family first. Strength in unity. She embodied the values of faith, discipline, and elevation that so many of us respect across hip-hop, activism, and everyday grind.
Recent years brought heavy heartbreak to the family — losing sons Louis Farrakhan Jr. in 2018 and Joshua in 2023. Through it all, Mother Khadijah’s legacy of love, devotion, and quiet power remained unshaken.
Doggie Diamonds No Filter: In a world quick to tear down or forget, we honor the ones who built foundations. Mother Khadijah represented resilience, Black womanhood at its strongest, and the backbone of a movement. Her life reminds us that behind every great man and movement is often a woman of unbreakable spirit.
May Allah grant her peace, comfort the family, and give us all strength to carry the torch. Rest in Power and Paradise, Mother Khadijah. Your example lives on.
Funeral arrangements pending. Prayers up for the entire Farrakhan family and the Nation.
